If one wants to stop at the Dollar Store to pick up a thermometer for an experiment she wants to work on, the other insists that he wants to go straight home. If one is having fun and wants to keep playing at the park, the other definitely feels “a little chilly” in the blazing sun and needs to get right back to the van.
