Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and……try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language…….Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.
~Rainer Maria Rilke
My translation: Carry on even if you don’t know what exactly the future looks like. Just try to follow your deepest truths, and live in a way that allows you to feel that you are living according to your own set of values. Every choice, big or small, changes our direction on the journey that our life takes, and hopefully, the path that we end up choosing to follow brings us to a place where we feel at home.

one of my favourites…..
Childhood
It would be good to give much thought, before
you try to find words for something so lost,
for those long childhood afternoons you knew
that vanished so completely -and why?
We’re still reminded-: sometimes by a rain,
but we can no longer say what it means;
life was never again so filled with meeting,
with reunion and with passing on
as back then, when nothing happened to us
except what happens to things and creatures:
we lived their world as something human,
and became filled to the brim with figures.
And became as lonely as a shepherd
and as overburdened by vast distances,
and summoned and stirred as from far away,
and slowly, like a long new thread,
introduced into that picture-sequence
where now having to go on bewilders us.

I think I need to print this out, post it on my fridge and read it daily. Thanks for sharing this bit of wisdom.
